Proccluseur

In interception, it is used to prevent any development of malocclusions.

• The proccluseur guides the eruption of the canines and the premolars in class 1 while keeping the incisors aligned.
• The proccluseur limits the vertical growth of the premaxillary region and therefore the appearance of incisor supraclusion.
• The proccluseur is able to align the incisors and stabilise lateral cross bite corrections.

In definitive dentition, after treatment, as a containment appliance.

FROM 6 YEARS

The proccluseur is available in 8 different sizes adapted to the diameter of the front teeth.

Measurements are taken between the distal faces of the upper lateral incisors, using a ruler supplied on request.

It is essential to wear it for 2 hours during the day, split into ¼ hour or ½ hour sessions. The appliance must not be squashed or chewed.

The proccluseur must be worn all night. In the morning the front teeth feel sensitive; this quickly disappears and is evidence that the proccluseur is working on the incisior-canine unit.

It's normal for the child's proccluseur to fall out during the night in the first instance: YOU MUST PERSEVERE.

Vents can be made with a 4-faceted bur to facilitate breathing through the mouth.

• The proccluseur should be cleaned in cold water with a toothbrush and toothpaste, before and after use.
• Never boil the proccluseur.
• The recommendation is to soak it for 1 hour a week in mouthwash.
• Leave the appliance in its box when you aren't wearing it.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
• Class III occlusion.
